Hillary Redisch

Hillary Redisch grew up in Bergen County, New Jersey, in a small town where a volleyball dynasty was growing. Having been introduced to the sport when her older sister started playing, Hillary was quickly enthralled by the game and the level of play she was able to watch when going to the high school games. Northern Valley Demarest (NVD) had a volleyball team that could not be beat. Led by Head Coach, Beth Powell, those girls were the closest thing to volleyball heroes that a young player could watch. (Look it up!)

Growing up, Hillary attended almost every clinic, class, and camp that Beth Powell would offer to the lower ages at the local level. She was learning her foundational volleyball skills from the best. She went on to play on her middle school team and high school team, playing for Beth Powell, as her varsity starting setter her Junior and Senior years at NVD.

When it came time for college, Hillary found herself in the City of Brotherly Love at Temple University. Go Owls!! She continued her volleyball career, making the women’s club team her sophomore and junior year. She has never stopped playing and often claims that volleyball is her first love. The lessons and values she has learned from her playing career are often reflected in her daily life.

Volleyball has been something she has been able to share with her older sister, Jessica, and younger sister, Sydney, who all play the sport. On more than one occasion, Sydney has even said that Hillary is the best setter she knows.

The Volleyball Vision

After college, Hillary moved across the country to Los Angeles, California, where she immediately sought the court. No, she didn’t hit the sand for beach volleyball, she stayed where she could continue her reign as the queen setter on an indoor court. She joined a local women’s league and made sure to keep playing while making friends.

When she moved back to Philadelphia in 2022, Hillary once again immersed herself in the volleyball scene, playing on a coed team for the first time. After playing in the league for a few years, she noticed that some of her new friends were looking for more training and development to play at a higher level. Thus, Hilladelphia Volleyball was born! We don’t really have to explain the name, do we?

Aimed at making the game more approachable, Coach Hillary brings her 20+ years of playing experience to anyone looking to take their game to the next level. Instilling a love for the game and building confidence on the court is the foundation of every session with Coach Hillary.

As a team sport, volleyball brings so many opportunities for players to build meaningful relationships while exercising whatever level of competition they may be at. It’s time the City of Brotherly Love embraces the love that volleyball can bring. Hilladelphia Volleyball is where it starts! Let’s play!
